Therapy

Therapy is about growth and change. The choices we make in life influence the paths we ultimately decide to take. Although the paths we take are important, equally important is how we perceive and interpret what we see along our paths.
Therapy can help you walk through life with your eyes wide open and challenge the belief systems that interfere with a more accurate perception.
You may be seeking therapy because you want to feel better or find answers to a problem that is becoming overwhelming. You may be unable to communicate your thoughts and feelings in relationships or may be seeking guidance to deal with an unexpected life event. You may be depressed, anxious, confused, unfulfilled, and/or acting in ways that cause distress for yourself or others.
There are many varying reasons why one chooses to see a therapist and whatever the reason, I believe all people seek therapy because they have the self-awareness or hope that their lives can be improved.
Making the decision to see a therapist can be both empowering and daunting. Sharing your inner thoughts, feelings and difficult behaviors takes courage and strength, so being anxious about this process is quite normal.
My job is to create a safe, confidential, healing environment to help you talk about your struggles openly without feeling judged or ashamed so that we may work together to resolve what is causing you pain.
Ultimately, this self-exploration together with collaboration can lead to productive change and a happier, more fulfilling life.
